Subaru Ascent Cabin Filter Change
I bought the filter a few months ago and finally got around to swapping it out. I think it might have been replaced at the 30,000 mile service but I never checked it. This Cabin Filter has activated charcoal which should help remove gases and odors from entering.

I bought one for around $125...kinda worried that it's used/damaged. Hopefully not. Previous microwave I used lasted like 25 years.
Don't put anything on top of the microwave. We think we killed ours because we had a heavy cutting board on top. Ended up purchasing the same one as we liked it so much
@@Nemesis099 Not gonna put anything on top of it, but thanks for the info. Have a good day. I mvst now get to mvrdering. If you don't mind my asking, how long did yours last?
@@Frikoppie first one lasted just over 2 years
@@Nemesis099 Okay. Thank you very much for the info. Though now I'm doubting that I should've bought it. Anyway, have a good day dude.
Btw dude, have you used one of those magnetic induction thingies? I bought what I think is a russian brand thing for like $17. No idea if it'll even work with any of these pots/pans. But hey, this is south africa, so I can return it if I don't like the look of it.
Turn your water off when you're not using it
I’ve used this sponge and didn’t like it either. Pretty dangerous when cleaning knives as there are holes in the sponge. Mine also fell apart like crazy and I think the microplastics end up everywhere. It lacks structure and is very flimsy.
Your battery is dying. Just order a new one online.
When this was recorded I could not find any large Ego batteries in store or online only the 2ah batteries were available. They are easy to get today and I would still be using my Ego mower if I could have purchased a new battery. Saying that it did make me back off on expanding into the Ego tool lineup as there are no real alternatives compared to the 18v lineup where adapters can be used.
The old brute is actually not a brute the old one is actually a Rubbermaid roughneck
Check the life span of the Mikita. It losses battery life very quickly.
Are talking about the batteries or the mower? With the batteries I have adapters to use Ridgid batteries in the makita mower and while the battery lid doesn't shut I have been using some 12ah batteries. If you want the lid to shut you can use 6ah batteries. Also with the 12ah batteries the mower seems to have more power but I'm not sure how to measure the power it can output.
The entire reason I didn't go with Ego was the lack of a side discharge. I have no idea what mowing is like elsewhere, but spring in the northeast has me mowing every 4-5 days and mulching isn't even close to an option due to the thickness of the grass. I bought the XLM08 at the beginning of 2021 and am almost 3.5 years in. It's 40-45 minutes continuous per week and the 4-5AH batteries that came along get me through that (USUALLY). Once summer hits they easily do, two batteries will get me close if it's really dry. It is used hard on my bumpy yard and has been a beast. Works as good as the day I got it. Mower's are always advertised by volts, but one thing people don't take into account that Output(Watts) is determined by Volts X Amps. The Makita can pull the amps to make up for the lack of volts and does, hence the reason I can blow through 20AH worth of battery on heavy, wet days, but it will do it. My only complaint was the side discharge chute was too narrow and angled down too hard. I removed the mulching plug entirely from the side. Now I can mow literally anything and it even helped battery life out a little I think not having to constantly mulch grass even with the discharge shoot in place. My dad just bought a Ryobi 40v 21" that has probably the best side discharge I've seen on a new mower, same deal, literally skipped the EGO because of the lack of side discharge.
I typically mulch but I love the fact it can plow through deep grass. Also I bought some 12ah Ridgid batteries and adapters and it sounded like it could pull even more power!
@@Nemesis099 If I had grass that would mulch I would, and in summer I probably do, but it's hopeless in spring and that's true with any mower I've ever used on this property. I had gone through 3 mowers in about 12 years and decided that while the Makita was a bit cumbersome and maybe not the best value, it seemed like the one that could be doing the job 10 years later, and like you said, battery options are always going to exist for this platform. 3.5 years in, 10 years seems very doable. It works like new.
Buenas noches por favor ayuda mi microondas quedo con el ventilador encendido y con un cool en la pantalla que devo aser mi nena iso palomitas y le quedo así
I'd like them to make a square rubic cube size.
Makita is a much bigger system, especially the 18v line
watching the sponge video is the biggest proof of adultery
The one I bought was damaged too but I couldn't take it back
Thanks for the information the four and the 6 being the same size just had me wondering
Are your 4 and 6 amp the same size measurement wise
I have a 4 and 6 amp battery and they are both identically the same size I was just wondering if you're bored and 6 amp are the same size measurement wise
Yes they appear to be exactly the same size which worried me but you can see the 6 amp have a lot more power
What about environmental impact of these plastics going into the ocean
this video just saved my day man, 85 degree day (may) and it was literally working yesterday perfectly fine
Just paid $169 plus tax for one of these at Walmart. It better be a hell of a microwave for that price.
Everyone who loves Makita's very heavy and easy to bog down mowers, also own a lot of Makita tools. Just like the very heavy DeWalt electric steel body mowers...the majority of those buyers also have DeWalt tools....and their electric mower is also very heavy. Sounds like the only downside to your perfectly ok Ego electric mower was years ago, trying to purchase large batteries. That was true during covid for most all things in the US. Now in 2024, if you still have that Ego mower, you can easily get a 7 or 10amp battery quickly, plunk it in your Ego and you now have a brand new super lite and powerful mower! ha
Never micrwave water for tea, use a traditional on-stove kettle, tastes much better.
I use an electric kettle for tea. I agree it does taste different which is really weird!
This was made 3 days after my birth
I am glad with my makita tools. Those batteries are very good and reasonable priced. I have 2 3Ah makita 18v batteries who are at least 12 yrs old. They still work. For my drills, grinders etc. i have 18v 5Ah batteries. I had a stiga mower (don't know if they sell garden equipment in the us) and leafblower with expensive batteries, who died after about 4 years. I could throw away the mower and the leafblower because they didn't sell that type of battery anymore! Makita however still makes equipment for these 18v batteries.
1:46 Why return a slightly dented microwave? I've dropped a microwave before, and it got beat up, but it still worked as good as new. Microwaves tend to be tough unless you intentionally break them, or they wear out (like your old one did). So, why would you let something like that go to the landfill? Just curious.
Three reasons, it was broken upon opening the box and I paid full price. Best Buy probably sold it as a scratch and dent item. Second is the microwave sits on the counter with that side facing out so it would be highly visible. Last reason is if it had any issues while under warranty LG would not have accepted a warranty claim because it was damaged and claimed it was negligent use and not their fault.
@@Nemesis099 Thanks for clarifying! How’s your LG microwave holding up?
@@sccpsteve It broke at two years but I we stored wood cutting board on top which I think caused it to overheat the internals. Bought the same one and we are two years in with this one and zero issues.
OMG all the snowflakes in here about how long he ran the water. The whole video was only 5:34 seconds!
It's 4:24am, i'm watching a review for a sponge that seems legitimately good. Reading the comments, guess its now my turn to experience this. Better late than never :)
Yes, many times the batteries are only available online as those are expensive items. And the way they do it is that it's actually cheaper to buy another tool with a battery. It literally comes out cheaper to get a tool with a battery than the battery alone. But no, the batteries have not been out of stock and are not leaving the market. That speculation is nonsense. Right now you can get a very strong blower (765 cfm) for $299 and it comes with 2 batteries ( 5 ah + 2.5 ah). And yes, you can find this deal in stores. Just have to look around and check prices. That Makita mower looks good, probably even better than the basic Ego idk. But I don't like the fact that it's really hard to get the blades. I'm currently using the Milwaukee and kind has similar issue. Not a lot of options for blades, Ego is much better in that department. And I do miss the dual-blade system from Ego. The new aluminum deck 22 inch Ego should be amazing, but cost a little fortune lol. 1199. And the battery will degrade with time and use, it's just normal wear. Happens to all batteries. Actually it's one big issue to be considered when using battery equipment and their cost.
I agree today it is easy to get Ego batteries at the store, but when I went to look they were nearly impossible to buy and I wasn't sure if that was going to change. Although I was also surprised that the battery was not lasting nearly as long I liked the lawnmower and was more than willing to get another battery. Never thought about how hard it might be to get replacement blades for the Makita mower although they tend to last years as long I don't hit something hard and really damage the blade. One thing I like about the 2x18v mower is I already have a bunch of batteries for other tools and those batteries go on sale more frequently as separate items. I've also thrown in some larger 12ah batteries and the mower seemed to have more power. I really debated on the Milwaukee but it was just released and it was difficult to think about spending another 200-300. Although I think the Milwaukee is a better mower in a lot of ways.
You couldn't find Ego batteries on amazon?
This was during the supply shortages and yes at the time I could have bought off brand batteries but reviews were saying they where garbage. Only way to get a new battery was a new lawn mower from Ego at that time. I still like the fact I can easily get 18v batteries for the Makita and even use adapters with my Ridgid batteries. Much easier to get and I already have a bunch of them. Not that he Ego wasn't a good mower just a circumstance at that time when I needed a new one.
Oh ok. Well they're a lot easier to get now as you probably know. I've just gotten into their ecosystem with a weed trimmer, hedge trimmer and a leaf blower with 3 batteries. I took advantage of the recent bundles they've been doing.
Love my EGO. 👍🏻✌🏻
Glad you like it!
Thank you sir I won’t buy it because I don’t see the point lol
Thank you for this, I’m on my 3rd time having to replace a trash bin because our trash guys just throw it back into the street and it goes bye bye or gets so damaged it can’t stand upright. Gonna definitely try this
Thanks for your review
This was the easiest repair I’ve ever done. Took two minutes!!!! Much love to the unsung heroes with repair videos on RUclips!
Thanks for the video. I was considering the EGO lawn tractor, but after seeing the poor cut, how it struggled and $500 batteries, I ordered a new gas engine lawn tractor. Carbon footprint looks pretty big and full of dead batteries right now. Battery power is for little postage stamp sized lots. I feel bad for all the landscapers.
Max output is a step backwards. Octane has been by far the best
Soap..........
I just bought a new microwave but this time its digital i was hoping to see how to operate nonetheless im glad this brand is good
The white light inside is a bit yellow and me think it was dirty inside. This also happens to you?
When you google this question your video comes up thanks
Blue hawk trash cans are not uv resistant. Plastic cans just break. Handles break off. Cans crack terribly. They won't warantee them. Even with a receipt and pictures. It is a fraudulent product.
I agree they are fraudulent. Except for one day a week the can was kept in my garage so no sunlight and it still cracked from use. It felt very much like a scam as it couldn't handle the purpose it was made for!
battery mowers suck its all a lie
How about bringing in some information that backs that up or something to discuss just because you might not like battery mowers does not mean they are a lie and I'm not saying everyone should go electric but it is a usable alternative to gas.
CLOOSE THE FCKING WATERR YOU IDIOT
Have you replaced the clutch and filters on the DC07?
The filter is washable so I haven't replaced it. I now use the vacuum primarily on hard floors so I haven't replaced the clutch.
Your wasting so much water. Hot water too
Read the pin comment he apologized for it. Read before you write buddy
4 years later and I'm thinking about buying this model.
We really like the microwave but the first one broke about 2 years in and we bought the same one again. So if you do buy it I recommend getting an extended warranty for piece of mind.
SCRUB DADDY IS PURE GARBAGE!!! I HAVE USED CHEAPER BRANDS THAT'S 10X STRONGER AND BETTER. DON'T BE FOOLED THE SHARK TANK HYPE BEHIND THIS GARBAGE PRODUCT.
Thank you for the video... Exactly my problem
octane 3ah still available at HD. It's pricey $149 for two 3ah with charger.
I can see the trash guy getting all tangled up and flipping the hell out LOL
You need to make sure it has enough reach but not too much to get tangled. There is a delicate balance.
7/32 socket for those bolts
I am still fighting with Ridgid trying to get them to exchange a 24XLi battery that won't charge.I bought a combo set of power tools a little over 10 years ago with the idea of the life time warranty, I find out they won't honor that if they don't want to. Because they don't make 24v anymore they don't have to exchange it according to them, but they say I can purchase 18v that will work in my tools.
I didn't even know they made a 24v system. Just had my 18 year old hammer drill replaced under the LSA. Does the 24v system work in 18v tools?
